Game lines for tonight's 9-game slate, built the same way as our prop picks: starting pitcher form, team records, and — the signal doing the most work below — the gap between the percentage of bets and the percentage of money on each side. When money is far more lopsided than bets, that's the market's bigger players weighing in, and a large gap is worth following even when it argues against the public number.
We went deep on two games tonight rather than shallow on all nine. Where we don't have the full signal read on a game, we're saying so in the reference table below instead of guessing.
Top Picks
The reasoning
#1 Phillies −1.5 (largest divergence we found tonight): Only 36% of bets are on Philadelphia's run line, but 83% of the money is — a 47-point gap, the widest split on the slate. Public bets are almost split down the middle on this game; the bigger money clearly isn't.
#2 Pirates/Marlins Under 8.5 (public and money pointing opposite ways): 65% of bets are on the Over, but 66% of the money is on the Under — a reverse split that's usually worth respecting. When the crowd wants points and the money wants the Under, we side with the money.
#3 Pirates −1.5 (moderate, same game as above): A smaller version of the same pattern — 31% of bets, 67% of the money, on Pittsburgh covering as the modest favorite. We like it, but it's a plus-money line on a team that's a game below .500, so it's a Moderate, not a High.
#4 Phillies Moneyline (same game, smaller gap): 65% of bets and 82% of the money both lean Philadelphia — directionally the same signal as the run line pick above, just a less extreme gap between the two numbers.
What we didn't call
Seven of the nine games aren't in the table above. We pulled moneyline, spread, and total prices for the full slate, but only ran the full bets-vs-money breakdown on two games tonight. Rather than publish a lean built on price alone, we're listing the other seven for reference below and leaving the market read blank. That's a gap in tonight's process, not a claim that those games have no signal — we just didn't check thoroughly enough to say.
