Two Game 3s, two legs, and everything we declined by name
Pre-flight passed at 5:05 PM ET — the data platform and the Las Vegas betting network were both up. This card ran the games board, the full props board for both games (1,955 rows across the slate), sixteen prop panels, the probables page, the ratings cards, both books' splits, the line tracker, the sim totals model, the props model and the expert room. Printed, because it matters: the ballpark-and-weather analytics partner's park-factor board was dark at 5:10 PM (it never finished syncing), so the park reads below are the sim model's; and we did not open the platform's injury tab before the first game's deadline, so no leg on this card leans on a lineup assumption. Full tables: MLB Insights Board.
The shape of the night: one game has a clean money signal (Padres) and one is a pick'em with the model and the money on opposite sides of the total (Dodgers–Braves). The network's props model posted five plays; our panels disagreed with three of them and the other two ran into a line cut we could not explain. Two legs published. Standing price bands apply: player props between +200 and −400, moneylines between +400 and −1200.

⚡ THE JUICE. Pivetta (2.84 ERA, 1.053 WHIP, 29.7% strikeouts in nine starts) against May (7-9, 4.70, 1.318). The ratings card rates the starters 29 to 2 and projects San Diego 3.8–3.0, an effective line of Padres −139. Milwaukee's edge is the bullpen (34 to 27) and a 2–0 series lead. Plate umpire Marquez is 18-10 to the over. The sim totals model projects 6.99 runs with a 0.92 park factor.
💸 THE CROWD VS THE CASH. Market-maker: 99% of moneyline dollars on San Diego against 59% of tickets (SHARP, +40) at −135. Public book: 64% of money / 59% of tickets San Diego at −142 — the public is on the same side, so no contrarian tag. The line opened Milwaukee +115 and sits +120 to +125: it has moved with the money. Total: the public book is 81% money / 78% tickets OVER, the market-maker's total money is 100% over, and the number has risen from 7 to 7.5 — while the sim model (6.99, 11.7% edge) and the ratings (6.8) both say UNDER. Room: one expert on the Padres moneyline, one first-five-innings over.
🎯 THE FINAL VERDICT: PADRES −127 — conviction 56. Sharp dollars, a line moving the same way, twelve cents of ratings value at the platform's price and the starter gap all agree. Argument against: the Brewers' bullpen is better and Pivetta's outs line (10.5) says the book expects a short start. Under 7.5 is printed, not published. The model's 11.7% edge is its loudest number tonight, but the total has moved half a run the other way on one-way over money at both books with an over umpire — and our ledger's open flag is exactly a total published against a number moving the other way. Not until that flag is tested.

The props model's play (22.6% edge) and the panel agrees on paper — but a starter with a 14.5-out median posted at 10.5 is a line that has been cut for a reason we could not source. Our ledger flags exactly this: an unexplained line cut is not value until it is explained. Printed, not played.

The best windows on the night — and the same short-leash question. A 3.5 line on a 29.7%-strikeout starter says the book expects about eleven outs; if that is right the cushion is one batter. Same flag, same answer.

⚡ THE JUICE. Yamamoto (14-9, 2.53 ERA, 0.870 WHIP, 25.7% strikeouts) against Sale (14-9, 2.22, 0.975, 31.3%). The ratings card rates the starters 65 and 70 and projects Los Angeles 3.6–3.0, an effective line of Dodgers −110 — the market's number. The sim totals model projects 7.21 runs against 6.5 (over, 6.2% edge). Plate umpire Hoye is 16-11 to the over.
💸 THE CROWD VS THE CASH. Moneyline: market-maker 65% of money / 63% of tickets Dodgers, public book 51% of money / 59% of tickets Dodgers — no gap, no tag. The line opened Dodgers −110 and has drifted toward Atlanta (−100 on the platform). Room: four experts on the Braves moneyline between +100 and −109, one on Braves +1.5, one on the Dodgers. Total: the market-maker's money is 57% UNDER on 46% of tickets (SHARP under, +11) and the public book's is 51% under on 41% of tickets — while the model says over. One expert in the room has the under.
🎯 THE FINAL VERDICT: STAY AWAY on the side and the total. The side is a true pick'em with no money gap: the ratings say Dodgers −110, the room leans Braves, and the drift toward Atlanta is five to ten cents. The total has the model and the umpire over and both books' dollars under — when the model and the money disagree on a 6.5, we print it. The play in this game is the workload: Yamamoto over 17.5 outs, scored on the board below.
