NFL Week 1, Wednesday: Patriots @ Seahawks — the Positional Board, the Dog's Buyback, and the Home Quarterback's Under

Super Bowl rematch, updated in place: twelve positional players rated with their why, Henderson out, the number to 3 against the public money, and Darnold's under as the best projection gap on the board.

Card format v3 · updated in place Tue Sep 8 · 11:47 PM ET — the positional board: QB · WR1 · WR2 · WR3 · RB · TE for both teams, every one rated with its why · lines, splits and injury tabs re-verified · published legs grade at their first-published price · gameday pass Wed Sep 9 · 7:15 AM ET (platform dark — short run: final injury report, two-book splits, forecast re-verified; no prices touched)
Edge Gap does not apply here. It needs hit-rate history, and these players don't have usable history for this slate. Forcing it would produce something that looks rigorous and isn't. Playing time is the entire handicap below.

⚡ Seven months ago these teams played for the Lombardi and Seattle won it 29-13 at Levi's; the league scheduled the rematch as the first Wednesday game in Patriots history. What changed by the 5 PM platform pass (Wed Sep 9 · 5:07 PM ET): the board re-opened and confirmed every number we were tracking — Stevenson's attempts sit 15.5 (−106) and Maye's 32.5 (−115), and the fantasy market kept moving our way: Maye's line went 17.5 → 18 and Stevenson's 12 → 15, three full points above our published number. Doubs ticked 8.5 → 8 against us — half a point, printed. Late adds on the board: Corey Kiner rushing props (the backup behind Stevenson) posted with the injury flag on. Horton's Questionable tag (hamstring) still dates Sep 8 on the platform's injury tab — no Wednesday change. From the morning's final report: Henderson OUT stands, C Ben Brown did not travel — OUT, and Barmore came off the report entirely; Seattle rules S Ty Okada OUT, with Emmanwori (ankle) and Horton (hamstring) Questionable after limited weeks — Horton Questionable-not-out keeps Kupp a WATCH. The number finished its move overnight: 3 flat at both books, and the +4 trigger never appeared. Behind it, Monday's news: RB TreVeyon Henderson OUT (ankle) along with Landry and Schooler — Stevenson is the lead back and the books re-priced him on Monday. Seattle is without RB Zach Charbonnet (PUP, ACL) and CB Terrion Arnold (suspended); S Emmanwori and WR Horton are Questionable. A.J. Brown (traded from Philadelphia in the spring) makes his Patriots debut; Romeo Doubs is the other outside receiver; Seattle returns the champion core around Darnold, Smith-Njigba and Kupp, with the backfield a three-man committee led on paper by Holani and the first-round rookie Price. The market: the spread has come from +5.5 at the lookahead to 3.5, and this week to 3 at the market-making book and three others — against 81% of the public book's spread money on Seattle. The matchup panel: Seattle ranked 7th at limiting rush attempts and 3rd vs rushing yards, 28th vs pass attempts — the numbers that make Stevenson's carries a fade and Maye's dropbacks the volume. New England allowed the 9th-fewest passing yards and receiving yards — the numbers that make Darnold's under the best projection gap on the board. Our read on the side: revenge is not a handicap; the champion at home at −3 is a fair number, and the reasons to lean the dog are the ones our own record has demoted.
💸 THE CROWD VS THE CASH. Evening pass (Wed Sep 9 · 5:07 PM ET): the public book has Seattle −3 at 77% of the money on 65% of the tickets — the ticket count climbed all day; the total there leans Under (57% of money at 44.5). Market-making book: Seattle −3 at 76% of money on 76% of tickets — dead flat, which means the morning's eleven-point sharp gap on New England is GONE: the sharp side either got its number or went home. That book also dropped its total to 44 with 66% of the money Over, while the public book leans Under at 44.5 — the two books still disagree on the total. The platform's own per-market betting: 77% of spread money on Seattle. Best number for a dog backer: +3.5 (−115) on the platform board against 3 flat in Vegas. Line tracker: the dog opened +5.5 on the lookahead, is +3 (+100) at four Nevada books and +3.5 (−110 to −120) at four others; 43.5 at one book, 44.5 elsewhere. Tags: RLM (the number moved 3.5 → 3 against the public money) — and our own graded record has reverse-line-move leans at 1-for-9, demoted to tiebreaker. Ratings: three published systems make it Seattle by 3.0, 3.3 and 4.1 — none of them under the number. Week-1 system 5 (home favorites hosting a .500-plus team, 54-30-5 ATS since 2000) sits on Seattle. The network's expert room: 4 on New England (two at +3.5, two on the money line), 2 on Seattle; one Over, one Under.
🎯 THE FINAL VERDICT: 🎰 NO VALUE — STAY AWAY at SEA −3 / NE +3.5. Sunday's trigger was "+4 reappears"; the number went the other way instead, and the buyback on the dog is the only argument for New England — an argument our record grades 1-for-9. The ratings, System 5 and the roster say Seattle; the money says Seattle; the price says the market already knows. The morning's sharp-side gap on the dog evaporated by evening (76/76 flat at the market-maker) — the one live argument for New England left the building, and +4 never posted. Stay-away stands, final. The props are where the edge lives tonight, and the biggest one is the home quarterback's under. One printed dissent: a Las Vegas network's AI model projects Maye OVER 233.5 passing yards on its Week-1 QB list — the other side of the volume our attempts under is short-selling; that model skews under league-wide in Week 1, so it's a caveat on the record, not a re-size.

The panel projects him 2.4 points over the number and 2025 cleared it 67% of the time. Seattle allowed the 28th-most pass attempts last year, so the volume is there even in a loss — and New England is the dog, which is the script that throws. His attempts leg (U31.5, now 32.5 on the board — a point of value banked) is the other side of the same read: fewer dropbacks than the market thinks, but more production per drop with A.J. Brown in the room.

The news: TreVeyon Henderson is OUT (ankle) — 37% of last year's carries move into Stevenson's lap, and the books re-priced him on Monday: the rushing-attempts line went 11.5 → 15.5 (−106 tonight) and the fantasy line 12 → 15. Our O12 fantasy leg got better (role up, same number); our U11.5 attempts leg got worse and stays on the record at the published price. Under 15.5 attempts now reads like a role trap in both directions: the median of 8 was a backup's median. Watch the yards, not the attempts — Seattle allowed the 3rd-fewest rushing yards a game last year.
